■Vascular Network Formation
By introducing endothelial cells suspended in a gel solution into the gel channel, the cells spontaneously form vascular networks.
■Angiogenesis Assay
Endothelial cells are attached to one side wall of the gel channel, while growth factors are introduced from the opposite side to induce angiogenesis.
■Drug Transport Evaluation
Cells are cultured on one side wall of the gel channel to form a cellular layer. After the cellular layer is established, drug transport can be evaluated by introducing compounds and monitoring their movement from the cellular layer, through the gel layer, and into the medium channel.
